CRI Base

CRI purchased an 84-acre camp in Blue Ridge, VA in 2019 formerly known as "Camp Jaycee". Thanks to generous partnership, the property now serves as our headquarters for global relief operations, crisis response training, and administrative offices.

The camp is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains alongside Jefferson National Forest with views of the historic Blue Ridge Parkway with easy access to the Appalachian Trail.

Our facility enables us to run year-round events, mission schools as well as host retreats, church groups and conferences. It also enables you to come for an overnight visit, volunteer with our staff, or book your next personal/church retreat.

Mission_Allies

Come serve with us at the CRI base as a Mission Ally in areas like farming, hospitality, cooking, groundskeeper, admin, event coordination, training, deployment operations, relief operations, and more. Short-term volunteers, called “Mission Allies” are welcomed up to thirty days and longer-term volunteers can apply as staff.

*You do not have to be a CRI trained responder to serve as a Mission Ally. However, background checks are required for all participants. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent.

This is a missional community of all ages and giftings working together at our global relief headquarters and training center.

We gather for meals, prayer and worship, and everyone operates in different roles daily to run the base, relief operations, our farm, and local events.

Located in a rural mountain area, there are many trails nearby if you enjoy the outdoors, and historic downtown Roanoke is just 20 minutes away where you can enjoy shopping and dining.
